Music as an Analogy
In music theory, counterpoint refers to the technique of leading several independent voices at the same time. None of them dominates the others, and yet their interplay creates a fabric. At certain points, these voices meet in such a way that something new becomes more likely: the emergence of a new main line.
Time as Fluid History
History behaves in a similar way. Epochs and concepts are fluid. We may have left Web 2.0 behind, yet Web 3.0 was never truly fulfilled. At the same time, ideas of Web 4.0 and Web 5.0 already exist — and concepts from 5.0 will probably become reality sooner than many of the ideas that have so far been considered 4.0.
I have reason to believe that, starting on May 20, 2026, the probability of a new counterpoint will increase. And if that happens, it could truly change everything — for every one of us.
